We are an adventurous as well as an ambitious team and group so even though our fund raising is going well, we are looking at more ways to raise funds and we are more than willing to think outside the box.
Our first event the "Great Girlie Swap Shop" raised a total of £106 simply by the girls buying each others unwanted outfits from each other after clearing out their wardrobes. Anything left over was bagged up and we took seven bin liners of clothes to the local Cancer Research charity shop, so the goodwill carried on long after the girls had all gone home. The girls are already looking at repeating this again, so if you are interested in joining in, then email us and we will put you on the mailing list.
Our last event "An Evening With Spirit" with our very own Libby raised an amazing £1557.04 but the whole team worked hard leading up to this and on the night so everyone was buzzing long after the night had finished. As well as doing well on ticket sales we also did brilliantly on the raffle. We are so grateful to all the local companies and individuals that donated the raffle prizes because without their kindness we would not have raised the same funds.
So onto the next fund raiser what ever it is, we are looking at different ideas but would also welcome input from anyone, so get your thinking caps on and send us some ideas, however wacky ;-)
